Do you buy dresses?
We do not buy dresses. We put them on consignment. Consignment is when you make a profit off of your items once they sell. It’s a smart choice if you want to receive as much money as possible off of your items while ensuring they have constant customer exposure.
Where is Second Dance Located?
Second Dance is located at 321 Division Ave S Grand Rapids, MI 49503. We are in between Cherry and Wealthy street.
What are your hours?
Wednesday, and Friday 11-6, Tuesday and Thursday 12-7, and Saturday 10-5. Sunday 12-4 (For the months of September and April)
Do I need to make a appointment to bring in dresses?
No appointment is needed to bring in dresses, but if you plan on bringing 15 or more dresses a call would be appreciated. Sometimes if we are helping a customer you might have to wait a couple minutes. Especially during Saturdays.
What will you price my dress at?
Second Dance prices dresses based on brand and demand of the dress. We can discuss pricing specific items with you when you bring in your dresses and accessories.
Do my dresses need to be dry-cleaned?
Dresses generally need to be free of stains, missing beads/jewels, unpleasant odor, and wear/tears.
What type of dresses does Second Dance take?
Any dress considered formal. Bridal, Bridesmaid, Prom, Mother of, and Homecoming, to name a few.

At Second Dance we have a very good success rate at selling dresses for you. This is because we work very hard to keep your dresses in the best condition. Our staff helps customers shop, as the inventory can be too overwhelming to shop on their own. We advertise your inventory on social media for more exposure. We are much different than the typical consignment store, because we put a lot of effort into keeping your items in perfect condition and are determined to help customers find the perfect dress. All you have to do is bring your items in and we handle the rest!
Do I need to make an appointment to try on dresses?
Second Dance highly recommends booking an appointment if you would like assistance from a consultant or if you plan on coming in during peak months (September, April). We don’t require an appointment, but if you come in without one you might have to wait for a fitting room or wait for help due to our consultants attending other customers with appointments. An appointment guarantees you will have a fitting room saved for you for one hour. We want to give you our full attention and assistance at all times, but we are learning that we can’t always predict what days we will be busy!
